Sound: Highly subjective and personal+blog
Problem
New sounds sound worse to some, better to others. Related Ticket.
Thoughts
I think it is obvious by now that sounds are highly subjective and personal taste.
I think it has been proven time and time again. (Different taste/sound system/setup etc)
I think it is one of the reasons there are so many different soundmods, responses/feedback etc.
I also think that for some, once zoomed into a certain sound, it is hard to change.
Beyond that, it is very hard to satisfy everyone, and possibly some tweaks could solve some of it aswell.
Some people seem to forget that nothing can become as 'perfect' as they'd want it, without constructive critisim. (see Contribute)
Still I think it is clear it would be useful for certain people to be able to stick to their preferred version.
This is a problem for multiplayer, due to the signatures.
Solution
At the next update (Fridays), we will switch to a single bikey for ACEX_SM, and we will also provide .bisign signature files for the previously released versions of the SoundMod.
This includes the v1.0 and v1.1 stable version (you can already grab these, otherwise known as 'the previous sounds'.. Though only after Friday will the signatures work in multiplayer).
