  • As of version 1.5, ACE mod is only compatible with Operation Arrowhead Standalone, as well as Combined Operations (OA with ArmA 2 original).

    ACE requires @CBA 0.6.0 or newer, and incase of Operation Arrowhead Standalone, also @CBA_OA is required.

     

    Due to large code-base, independent mod-team, and team's preferences, we cannot support multiple BI Games at once.

    Since Operation Arrowhead has been released recently, and it's technical- and content-wise superiority, our focus has moved to it, and the last version for ArmA 2 Standalone is ACE 1.3.

     

    Please find the details and motivations behind the changes below:

     

    New Modfolders for OA

    • CBA_OA - For OA Standalone users - Provides a small set of classes required to be able to use a single unified version of CBA, but especially XEH.
    • CBA_A2 - For ArmA 2 Standalone users - Provides a small set of classes required to be able to use a single unified version of CBA, but especially XEH.
    • ACEX_USNavy (incl USMC) and ACEX_RU bonus factions that bring back many of our content for A2 factions, fully supporting the new OA features.

     

    Modified Features since OA

     

    We will support the new OA features in our content, where applicable. (TI layers for example are work in progress)

    We are also planning on providing some of our existing content to the newly introduced factions in OA, like Takistan.

    Removed classes since OA

     

    Several classes have been removed due to several reasons, mostly for a seamless compatibility for OA-standalone users, and OA's factions.

    This is also a nice opportunity to make ACEX more modular, in terms of modfolders.

    As such, we are planning future ACEX expansions, see "New Modfolders for OA" for details.

    We have also combined some features, or removed features to be replaced with new OA native features.

    For example, the ACEX addons have shrunk to a total of 580 MB compared to 1341 MB previously, no worries, content not replaced with OA will come back in the before mentioned ACEX expansions.

     

    A2 Backward Compatibility addon is available now integrated in @ACEX_RU and @ACEX_USNavy.
